New Zealand consists of three main Islands - North, South and Stewart plus a small group called the Chatham Islands. New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere, so the seasons are the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere. It is a land of contrasts, from pristine wilderness areas to modern and sophisticated cities, from tropical white sand beaches to snow capped mountains. It's compact and offers an enormous range of activities, nowhere in the world is there another place that can offer so much for it's size. With clean waters and fertile soils New Zealand harvests stunning produce, which reflects in the cuisine offered in New Zealand restaurants and eateries. New Zealand carries a clean green image and is an international leader in promoting safeguards for the world environment.
